Court Might not be Your Answer
When disputes arise, it is not always necessary to take them to court. Many cases can be settled through arbitration or mediation and often yield better results in less time.
The arbitration and mediation attorneys at Cohen Garelick & Glazier are leaders in alternative dispute resolution techniques to resolve legal disputes. As registered civil and family mediators*, our mediation and arbitration attorneys handle civil law and family law mediation.
Through mediation and arbitration, our goal is to guide our clients to mutually agreed-upon resolutions, while helping you maintain important business or personal relationships.
*Under Rule 2.5(A) of the Rules of Alternative Dispute Resolution
Mediation is a confidential process in which one of our registered mediators assists parties in resolving disputes. It is an informal process conducted with or without lawyers. The mediator does not impose a settlement but advises the parties about alternative solutions to their conflict. While mediation is effective in resolving a variety of disputes, it is particularly well suited to family law, divorce, business litigation, and probate and trust disputes.
Arbitration is a process in which a case is presented to a neutral arbitrator for a legally binding decision. Arbitration is commonly used to resolve construction disputes, business disputes, family law disputes, personal injury matters, and employment law disputes.
