Dick Darst concentrates in the areas of federal litigation, employment law, and general litigation.

Mr. Darst has been honored to have been elected President of the Seventh Circuit Bar Association (2000-2001), President of the National Employment Lawyers Association Indiana Affiliate (1998-1999), President of the Rotary Club of Indianapolis Northeast (1993-1994), and Distinguished Fellow of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation (2002).

Mr. Darst served as the Interim U. S. Attorney in 1984, First Assistant U. S. Attorney from 1981 through 1984, Assistant U. S. Attorney from 1970 to 1977, and trial attorney with the United States Department of Justice in Washington D.C. from 1969 to 1970. He has also served as deputy corporation counsel for the City of Indianapolis.

Mr. Darst has served as Chairman of the Indiana Federal Practice Seminar, member of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals Advisory Committee to Study Pro Bono Appointments in Federal Civil Cases (1981-1984), and member of the Federal Local Rules Advisory Committee (1979-1981).

Mr. Darst graduated from Indiana University in 1966, and from Indiana University School of Law in 1969. In law school, Mr. Darst was a writer for the Indiana Law Journal.
